Sensory Room Design

Therapy & OT clinics

A sensory room that supports your therapeutic goals, and looks the part for private clients.

Independent, costed design for OT, ABA and paediatric therapy practices. We design around sensory integration and regulation, you see the finished room before you build it, and you receive a supplier-neutral specification you can fund and build with anyone.

Three ways we design for therapy clinics

Your room has to earn its place in a session and reassure a private client. We design for both.

Sensory-integration room

A space planned around therapeutic goals: graded vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile input your therapists can structure and progress.

Regulation & co-regulation

A low-arousal room that helps a dysregulated client settle, so a session can begin and stay productive.

Assessment & treatment suite

A flexible clinical space that reads as professional to private clients while supporting structured therapy and play.

What a sensory room does in a therapy clinic

A well-designed sensory or multi-sensory room gives your therapists a controlled environment to grade input and structure intervention. For sensory-integration work, it provides safe vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile challenge; for regulation and co-regulation, a calm, low-arousal space where a dysregulated client can settle and a session can actually progress. The room only works when it is designed around your goals and the way your therapists run sessions, which is exactly what an independent design gives you.

Independent by design

Most of this market is built around selling equipment, with the design offered free as part of that. We work a little differently, and alongside it: because we design only and sell no equipment, the specification is supplier-neutral. It is written around your clinic and your caseload, and it is yours to fund, tender and build with whoever you choose.

Funders give more weight to a specification whose author does not also sell or install the room. Because we design only, ours is independent, which is exactly what helps release a budget and stands up at tender.

What you receive

A complete, costed design of your room. The killer benefit for therapy clinics: a clinically credible, private-client-ready space, planned around your therapeutic goals.

Photoreal renders

See the finished room before you commit, and show your team, your clients and their families exactly what the space will be.

3D walkthrough

Understand how the room feels and flows for a session, not just how it looks on a plan.

Layout & zoning plan

A clinically considered plan that separates active, regulating and assessment zones, with clear sightlines for safe supervision.

Product specification

An itemised, supplier-neutral schedule you can buy from any supplier, with clear descriptions for procurement.

Socket & services plan

Power, fixings and ceiling-rig positions worked out in advance, so installation is right first time.

Presentation deck

A polished, costed document that supports a clinically credible space and a private-client-ready environment for your practice.

How we work

Considered, collaborative and led by your clinical goals.

  1. 01

    Brief and clinical goals

We start with your caseload, your modalities and the therapeutic outcomes the room has to support, from sensory integration to regulation.

  2. 02

    Sensory goals

We agree how the space grades input and how active, regulating and assessment zones work for the way your therapists run sessions.

  3. 03

    Design and visualise

We design the room and bring it to life as renders and a walkthrough you can share with your team and your clients.

  4. 04

    Cost

Every element itemised and costed, supplier-neutral, ready for your budget or a grant application.

  5. 05

    Proposal

A complete specification and presentation deck, ready to fund and build.

Your questions, answered

Will the room actually support our therapeutic goals?

Yes. We design around your modalities and caseload first, with graded sensory input and clear active, regulating and assessment zones, so the space supports sensory integration and regulation work rather than just looking the part.

You are designers, not clinicians, so how do you get the therapy right?

The clinical judgement stays with you. We collaborate closely on your goals, your sightlines and the way your therapists run sessions, and the design reflects what you tell us. You retain full clinical control of every choice.

Will it look professional enough for private clients?

Yes. The room is designed to read as a credible clinical space for private families and referrers, while still functioning for structured therapy and play. You see it as photoreal renders before you commit.

Do we have to buy from you?

No. We sell no equipment. The specification is supplier-neutral, so you buy each element from whichever supplier you choose, at the best price.

How is the design costed?

Every element is itemised with quantities and clear descriptions, so you have a complete, costed schedule for your budget or a grant application.

Funding a clinic sensory room

Private practices typically invest from their own capital, sometimes alongside charitable grants for children's services. Every route needs a credible, costed specification, which is what we provide, and because we are independent it stands up to any scrutiny.

Tell us about your practice and your caseload. We will design the room, visualise it and cost it in full.
